  • THERE ARE MANY USES FOR THESE DELICIOUS  SPICES

  • DO NOT BE AFRAID TO EXPERIMENT!

SPICES

  • TBQ ALL PURPOSE SPICE

 (so rightly named!)

This spice has so many uses!

Try these in your next recipe!

1. Spareribs: (even I cook ribs at home!) The best ribs are backribs - everyone has their own favourite. For sideribs, I only use TBQ spices.  Do not boil backribs, as they lose all their nutrients this way.

2. Steaks: When cooking steaks on the bar-b-q or under the broiler, TBQ All Purpose Spice is the spice to use!

3. Fried Chicken: When frying chicken, use TBQ All Purpose Spice, of course.

Use this spice and you will need no other!

  • TBQ CAJUN SPICE

(hot enough to be enjoyable but not too hot!)

This is the spice for your Cajun style food. Use on chicken, kebobs, burgers, steak, eggs, fish, pasta, stir fry, shrimp and roast turkey. Great on liver or try it in your sausage patties.

There is a multitude of uses for this delicious spice. Do not be afraid to try it in your favourite recipes. Let your imagination be your guide!

1. Cajun Fries: Deep fry, bake or broil potatoes - whichever way is your favourite. Then sprinkle fries with our great TBQ Cajun Spice.

  • The “No Fat Way”, as Oprah says, is to combine two large egg whites.
  • Then we say, “Be sure to use one tbsp. of our TBQ Cajun Spice”.
  • Blend .
  • Add 5 potatoes cut into wedges or slices (leaving skins on or not).
  • Coat well .
  • Remove with a slotted spoon onto a coated or sprayed cookie sheet.
  • Pre-heat oven to 400 - 425 degrees F.
  • Bake for approximately 35 to 40 minutes.

Be sure to turn potatoes several times until they are golden brown.

2. Cajun Chicken Breasts:

  • Clean chicken breasts of any fat or membrane.
  • Season liberally with TBQ Cajun Spice.
  • Do one of the “3 B’s - but be sure to not over cook.
  • Cut the chicken breasts diagonally after being cooked and place on top of your favourite salad.
  • This is soooo good!

*You can bake your Cajun chicken breasts and serve with Cajun potatoes. Mmmm!

3. Cajun Shrimp:

  • Liberally sprinkle cleaned, shelled shrimp, with TBQ Cajun Spice.
  • Sauté in butter with a few dashes of Worcestershire sauce.
  • Simmer until the shrimp starts to colour.
  • Add room temperature beer.
  • Let the liquid reduce to half.
  • Remove shrimp with a slotted spoon.
  • Turn the heat off .
  • Swirl in 1 tbsp. of cold butter (this binds the sauce).
  • Place shrimp on a heated platter .
  • Pour this delicious sauce over it!
  • Serve with TBQ Pastry Place double baked, warm-crusted Vienna bread.
  • To double bake, preheat oven to 375 degrees F or 190  C.
  • Place your crusty bread on a cookie sheet.
  • Make a mixture of sugar and  water.
  • Brush this over your crusty bread.
  • Bake for approximate 15-20 minutes on a middle rack (keep checking to make sure it does not burn).

  • TBQ SALT-FREE SPICE

( Great for Salt Free diets! )

Sprinkle this spice over salads or use in cooking. If you are on a salt free diet, it is fantastic because it is salt free.  Nothing but the finest of herbs and spices.

  • TBQ SOUTHWEST CHUNKY SEASONING

  (new addition!)

This is a seasoning that is feisty and full of flavour. It is warm, tasty and delicious on virtually everything, particularly if you like a little heat. You also don't have to add any salt or other seasonings.

1. Meatloaf: Take your favourite mixture of meat for a meatloaf, add TBQ Southwest Chunky Seasoning and bake in the oven. The spices bloom . When it is sliced, you not only have a delicious tasting dish but a colourful one too.

2. Chicken: Instead of adding TBQ All Purpose Spice , use TBQ Southwest Chunky Seasoning for a change - it gives chicken a whole different taste.

A gourmet shop in the U.S. sprinkles TBQ Southwest Chunky Seasoning inside the cavity of their chickens. The juices allow the peppers to open and the taste permeates through to the outside of the bird. Then they generously sprinkle TBQ All Purpose Spice on the outside. Delicious!

3. Chops: Sprinkle pork or lamb with TBQ Southwest Chunky Seasoning and broil to desired taste.

4. Steak: Same as above.

5. Veal Cutlets: Sprinkle in with breading mixture.

6. Chilli: Customers report that TBQ Southwest Chunky Seasoning gives Chilli an excellent  boost of flavour.

7. Hamburgers: Add TBQ Southwest Chunky Seasoning to your favourite meat mixture, pat out the burgers and pan fry or broil as desired. A delicious Hamburger!

Experiment with your favourite ground beef recipes and TBQ Spices and we will be happy to print your recipe in our next booklet!

8. Rice:

  • Take one cup of rice and rinse thoroughly until the water runs clear.
  • Slice some onions if desired.
  • Sauté them in a bit of oil until translucent in colour.
  • Add to washed rice.
  • Stir a few minutes.
  • Add 2 and 1/2 cups of water to this mixture.
  • Sprinkle in TBQ Southwest Chunky Seasoning.
  • When the mixture starts to simmer, place  in a covered casserole.
  • Bake in oven at 375 degrees F. until all the moisture has been absorbed.
  • Your rice will be fluffy, tasty and colourful!

9. Chip Dip:  My brother recommended mixing TBQ Southwest Chunky Seasoning with sour cream. Place in the refrigerator for approximately an hour. What a surprise! The sour cream became thicker and darker in colour.  This is great on plain TBQ Pastry Place Flat Bread.

10. Beef Stew: Add TBQ Southwest Chunky Seasoning to your beef stew for pizzazz!

11.Soups: Try a dash of TBQ Southwest Chunky Seasoning in your soups. Excellent!

12. Pasta Sauce: A few dashes in your favourite sauce. Terrific!

  • TBQ STEAK N' CHOP SEASONING

Sprinkle TBQ Steak N’ Chop Spice liberally on your steaks, pork chops, pork steaks, veal chops, lamb chops or lamb loins etc. Season meat and let stand at room temperature for approximately 1 hour and then broil, bake or bar-b-q. This spice is certainly "finger lick'n" good.

Try sprinkling TBQ Steak N’ Chop Spice on your eggs. Absolutely great!

  • Seafood Sensation

Oomph up pasta sauces or add to softened butter with

minced garlic for great herb bread.
